Penobscot Bay


30 miles long, and up to 20 miles wide, the Penobscot Bay is the second largest bay on the east coast. Long a favored cruising ground for sailors from all around the world, the Penobscot is home to thousands of sailboats of all makes and sizes. One afternoon out on the "pond", as locals call it, reveals just how diverse these boats are.
